Sage Computer Associates   Making Business Smarter

Our Employees

Jeff Cohn

Jeff is one of the founders of Sage Computer Associates.  He has been working with computers since the mid ‘70's. That's right, before PC's existed, in a time when punch cards, mainframes and large 64K RAM systems ruled the world.

Jeff was one of the first five Novell CNE's in New York state. He graduated from New York State University College at Oneonta with a degree in geography and a double minor in computer graphics / spatial analysis and business.
When Jeff is not working, he enjoys time with his wife and their six children, as well as RVing, skiing (all types) and golf.

William Fibiger

Bill, vice president of SAGE Computer Associates, handles the company's management operations, including financial control and reporting responsibilities.  He also oversees new system installations and significant system upgrades.

Prior to joining SCA, Bill served as the president of CSB Security Insurance Agency.  Bill also was a programmer and systems analyst for Pfizer and Pratt & Whitney.  He has volunteered with organizations such as WMHT and Equinox, Inc.

Bill received his MBA from Bowling Green State University and Master of Science degree in computer science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

When Bill isn't busy running the office, and when weather permits, he spends his free time fishing.  This is where he can relax and clear his mind.  Bill and Jerry go fishing together, and then come back to the office and share who caught the biggest fish.  Isn't it funny how four inches always turns into four feet in a fishing tale?

Jason Appel
Jason Appel

As the manager of support services for Sage Computer Associates, Jason plans, manages and implements projects such as secure remote access, anti-spam and SAN solutions for a wide variety of clients.  He also prepares and teaches custom technical courses and provides consultation for business clients.

Jason holds a Bachelor of Science degree from SUNY Brockport, and he has earned certifications from Microsoft, Cisco and Novell.

When Jason has free time, he likes to sail, as you can see.  He also enjoys reading and writing.  When he feels like living life a little closer to the edge, he steps away from the desk to rock climb, and to play racquetball or a game of good ol' football.

Lauren Decker
Lauren Decker

Systems engineer for Sage Computer Associates, Lauren services PCs, networks, installs and configures Internet Access and installs and troubleshoots Microsoft Office products.

Lauren is fluent in programming languages, namely C++, Visual Basic and HTML.

Lauren is the avid rollerblader of the SAGE team.  One day you might find her at a local roller derby engaging in some aggressive skating action.  However, until she's one of the Princesses of Pain, you'll likely find Lauren biding her time at a nearby park.

Nancy Fenster
Nancy Fenster

Nancy is responsible for various administrative items at SAGE Computer Associates and is especially happy to help you with any non-technical questions you have.  If she doesn't know the answer, she will find it.  Before joining SAGE, Nancy managed the personal lines department of CSB Security Insurance Agency.  She was also the Manager of Administration and Human Resources at Pfizer, Inc.

A former member of the board at The Eddy and president and treasurer of the Homeless and Travelers Aide Society, Nancy received her MBA from Harvard.  She also attended Cornell University.

One of Nancy's favorite pastimes is baking.  So, when she's not taking care of business, the SAGE staff tries to persuade her to bring in her delicious cakes and pastries.

Paul Fusco-Gessick

Paul is a SAGE Computer Techinian. He installs and supports our clients' PCs and networks. Before joining SAGE, Paul interned at NYSDEC and worked at a local computer retailer.  Paul earned his Bachelors of Arts in Environmental Science at Ithaca College.

He is interested in music (playing, writing and recording) writing, literatiure, baseball (especially the Yankees), and the environment. Paul is also a Lifeguard, and EMT and a Wilderness EMT. If you ever feel that you are lost in the IT wilderness, Paul can help you out.

William Morrissey

Bill is a systems engineer at Sage Computer Associates.  He installs and services networks for SAGE's clients.  Before becoming a member of the SAGE team, Bill installed and serviced networks at KNG Hotels.  Prior to KNG Hotels, Bill upgraded and serviced networks at Romanucci Law.  Bill likes servicing networks.

Bill is a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer for Windows Server 2003 and Exchange 2003.  He's currently training for VBScript and CCNA.

There's nothing that Bill likes more than servicing networks. His second passion is the wild world of ATVs.  Not quite monster trucks, of course, but these little rides still guarantee a great time!

R. Daniel Shyne
R. Daniel Shyne

Dan is Sage Computer Associates' senior network engineer.  He provides technical support for clients, as well as technical consulting for business and education clients.  Before joining SAGE, Dan served as the computer network manager of the Enlarged City School District of Troy.  Dan holds an MBA from the University at Albany.

When Dan is not troubleshooting computer problems, he likes to stay active with a variety of outdoor activities.  Depending on the day, you may find him camping with his wife and dogs in their Honda Element, scuba diving, golfing or running.  On top of that, he plays several brass instruments and has been involved in drum and bugle corps for nearly 20 years.

Dave Young, Jr.

Dave is a senior network engineer who has been with SAGE since 1998.  He was awarded his MCSE certification in 2000 and completed the requirements for the Microsoft Small Business Specialist in 2006.  Dave is also a Certified SonicWALL Security Administrator.   He has provided support services for many of our clients, and has developed a special knowledge base for dental office automation.

When he is not busy helping SAGE clients, he is dedicated to three other activities: His family (ask him about his son Chayton David ); the North Greenbush Ambulance Association, where Dave is an Advanced EMT and has served as Chief of the association; and many outdoor activities such as riding his motorcycle, camping, boating, NASCAR and ATV trail riding.  Dave also is a member of the Capital District Marine Aquarist Society, which is a group dedicated to the marine and reef aquarium hobby.

Stephanie Zebrowski
Stephanie Zebrowski

Stephanie joined Sage Computer Associates in September of 2003.  As office manager, she handles SAGE's accounting, personnel and administrative functions.

Stephanie loves the outdoors.  When she's not fixing internal administrative problems as SAGE and dealing with all of those numbers, she's often climbing mountains as tall as Mount Everest and Kangchenjunga.  Well, not really.  Until she does get that chance, she'll be practicing in the nearby Adirondacks.  All she needs is some comfy shoes and her walking stick, and Stephanie is up and out.
